Just Getting Started

Maisie Grace Hourihane is a Dublin-based creator, model-maker and visual artist. After four years of creative exploration, technical skill development and collaborative work practices, Maisie's body of work includes:

Design for stage

  • Concept, model making - A Midsummer Night's Dream

  • Concept, art direction, prop sourcing, set production - It's Always The Quiet Ones (Smock Alley Scene and Heard Festival)

Design for screen

  • Concept, story-boarding, 3D AutoCAD modelling, AutoCAD construction drawings - Mr. Burns, A Post-Electric Play

  • Concept, art direction, prop sourcing, set build, 3D AutoCAD modelling, scenic painting, set dressing - Hotel Lobby

Model making

  • Model making based on supplied architectural drawings, AutoCAD drawing, laser cutting - RIAM Recital Hall

  • Model making and creative development from supplied technical drawings, miniature painting and prop making - Attic Model

Art department

Post-graduation, Maisie's goal is to apply and further build on her creative and technical skills developed in IADT. She aims to work as part of creative teams across a range of projects in the areas of architectural model making, stage and screen.
